Back when multiboxing in World of Warcraft was allowed, I was using multiboxing to defend my self as I mined Titanium and Saronite ores in WIntergrasp. Back in the days of the expansion Wrath of the Lich King, I would enjoy taking my pack of accounts ( 4 at the time) and use my main to mine ores in WIntergrasp and use my separate Warlocks and Shamans to heal and attack anyone who tried to gank me.
Wintergrasp is a PvP / Player vs Player zone and aa great mining spot. SInce it was PvP you could get ganked at any time. From good ole Dalaran city , head west and start mining immediately. Sadly you can no longer use a multibox to protect ya.
Multiboxing was once upon a time allowed in WoW. Multiboxing is when one player would control many accounts using one keyboard and mouse. It would make the multiboxer Overpowering., Watching the above video will demonstrate.
I used to use multiboxing back in the day to do my mining in Wintergasp. Wintergrasp mining is great for Titanium and Saronite ores. Both are still pretty high priced. It is still mined to make choppers.
head on over to Dalaran in Northrend then from there head to Wintergrasp.
If you want to mine there yourself follow the Yellow and bring some backup.
Nowadays you need to be either very well geared , or take some well geared friends with ya .
The ores in Wintergrasp will draw all manner of Horde and Ally to come and compete with you. Your competition will try to kill you in the game.
I love programming. In multiplayer games , knowing how software works, programming let me figure out how to optimizee money making and in the case of multiboxing write software to control my 5 and more accounts for mining purposes and when it was allowed battlegrounds.
I began programming back in the days of the first desktops in the late 70s and all through the 80s. Ive written a few games on my ownsome and for my work throughout the 90s and up to 2020 when I retired.
I'm adding this set of pages out of nostalgia . The early Role playing games, and strategy games are in truth the bones on which all modern games are based. One can learn a lot about how to write a good game by digging through the code of the older stuff.
For a modern role playing game like WoW you can look back at one of the first 3d Adventure games circa 1987 "DUNGEONMASTER".
Dungeon master is now abandon ware. It ran on the old Disk Operating System or (DOS). It is an amazing game for 1987.

I loved that game Dungeonmaster. I dug around on github and found a way to run a disk operating system emulator within a web browser. Now it this is all greek and nonsense sounding to you, I can sympathize. However , back in the dark ages before the internet, kids were first exposed to computers in the classroom. The primitive computers of the 80s often had magazines to accompany them. and in these magazines a kid could type in a few hundred lines of code from an article, learn to do a lil programming and get a working game.
This is how I first got bitten by the magic of coding and computers , when my first typed in program actually worked.
Later in college I got bitten by the Role Playing bug of both Dungeons and Dragons (tm) and the wonderful game Dungeonmaster.
I got the web browser emulator for the Disk operating system to work on my site, and through the magic of abandonware, I got Dungeonmaster to work for me and for you right in our web browsers.
Other 8 Bit games added for your pleasure |
